Facilitators
The program instructors and facilitators include local and international experts in experiential education. Each camp combines facilitators' talents and skills. Listed is a partial roster of our educators. Special guest speakers from the Business, Professional, Academic and Entertainment World are always a big part of the Winners' Camp Team.
Delorese Gregoire - Founding Director of Winners Camp, is one of the Camp's head facilitators. She has a rich history of working with teenagers and their families as President and Founder of Hawai'i Study Tours, which brought students from around the world to study in Hawai'i. In 1985 she directed a team of enthusiastic educators and created Winners' Camp Foundation; it continues to be her driving focus. In addition to the public camps offered during the summer, Gregoire has developed specialized programs with the Department of Education, the Department of Health, and private foundations such as the Estate of James Campbell, the S.W. Wilcox Trust, Rotary of Hawai'i, and the Kamehameha Schools Bernice Pauahi Bishop Estate; businesses and financial institutions; and private and public schools across the Islands, the Mainland, Japan and China. She is a 2009 recipient of the Distinguished Sales and Marketing Award, awarded by SMEI (Sales and Marketing Executives Internationall) of Honolulu to outstanding members in the community who have positively contributed to their profession and their community.

Emma Pavich - Clinical Social Worker, Trainer of Peer Counselors in the Schools, Psychology Teacher, co-creator of the Peer Counseling Program at Punahou School, co-designer and Past Director of Peer Counseling at La Pietra School for Girls, MA in Social Work - Trained Mediator, Consultant to Public and Private Schools, Individual and Family Therapist.
Paula Mantel - Paula Mantel is the Founding Director of Discover Learning Systems. She is uniquely qualified to teach with a history of highly satisfied students and clients from academic, government and business organizations. She has taught people to read faster with more comprehension, facilitated students to memorize dozens of new names in under twenty minutes using creative and innovative methods of problem solving techniques. Bill Cordes - Internationally acclaimed "Master Motivator" Bill Cordes began his career as a team leader for the Winners' Camp Foundation. He returns to the Islands to give back to our community and trains our trainers. Darcie Yukimura - LIFE SKILLS Facilitator, BA in Communication, Masters Degree in Public Health, Former Public Information Specialist at the Hawaii Department of Health and Director of Communications at St. Louis School. She is actively involved with the Boys and Girls Club Alliance Board, Easter Seals Hawaii and Hawaii Leadership Academy. She is currently a Philanthropic Services Officer at the Hawaii Community Foundation and resides on Kauai.
Scott Margenau first attended Winners' Camp in 1998 and has been an invaluable and respected staff member for the past 9 years! He attended Honolulu Community College, obtaining his Associates degree in Boat Maintenance/Repair and Small Vessel Fabrication. He currently works in a master woodworking shop building custom kitchens, bathrooms and high-end furniture. Scott is our Site Coordinator, Master Motivator and Facilitator.

He has acted in a number of network sitcoms and appeared on hundreds of interview shows, news programs, educational programs and commercials. Summer Baclaan first attended Winners' Camp when she was 15 years old. She graduated from Lanakila Baptist and served as the youngest yearbook editor in the history of the school. She had the opportunity to sail on the Hokule'a after spending a summer learning the art of crafting canoe paddles and assisting in the general maintenance of the famous sailing canoe. She attended UH as Liberal Arts major and has her sights firmly set on a career in public relations. Summer is a core staff member since 2006 at Winners' Camp and facilitates the component called SATT: Student Adventures in Test Taking.
